Welcome to the National Consultation on Church Music & Worship (NCCMW Pakistan 2011) Join the Consultation for the first time ever in Pakistan, February 16-19, 2011! If you are a theologian, Professor, missionary, a musician or a creative artist working in any institution, a Poet, Music Producer, Singer, Choir leader. A leader of any church or organization from Pakistan, you are invited to be a part of this event. Be prepared for a rewarding and enriching time of learning from one another and worshiping His Almighty together.

Join with music makers and Christian worship leaders from around the Pakistan & abroad. Learn how to use culturally - relevant music to reach and encouraged others with the good news. Glean from like minded believers with a similar geographical focus.

KEYNOTE SPEAKERS
Are you theologically at work in your music making and artistic pursuit? Be challenged and inspired by plenary speakers Ron Man (USA), Joseph Lee (Singapore) who have sought to love God unreservedly and to know Him through His word. Hear how they have encouraged the use of culturally appropriate music and art forms to advance the kingdom of God. Be refreshed by these fellow soul harvesters, both in your personal journey to know Christ in you, and in the vital role fill within the Body of Christ, as together we seek to fulfill His commission.

Introduction

Joseph Lee: (Bartley Christian Church, Singapore)

Joseph Lee was trained in piano, voice and trombone in one of London's music conservatoires. Upon his return to Singapore, he served as church music director. He was also employed to "Pioneer The Education Programme" of the Singapore Symphony Orchestra. During his spare time, he was choral master for Singapore Lyric Theatre (opera), sang in several operatic roles with the same opera company, was master of ceremonies for various classical art events for the Singapore Symphony Orchestra, Singapore Youth Orchestra, The Esplanade Arts Centre and National University of Singapore Orchestra.

Having recently pursued a Masters of Divinity programme in Texas, USA, he returns to Singapore with his wife and their three boys. Joseph is now a pastor of Bartley Christian Church. His heartbeat is to ground believers in biblical discipleship and to grow musical and artistic standards to the highest level for evangelism and outreach.

RON MAN: studied music at the University of Maryland (B.M. in Theory & Composition, 1974: M.M. in Conducting.1975).

Our Purpose Statement
The purpose of NCCMW is to integrate our rich musical and spiritual heritage and challenge to open our eyes & ears to the culture of our time. Explore how God is drawing the peoples group and ethnicities to Himself through Music across the Pakistan.

What We Hope to Achieve
NCCMW Pakistan 2011 aims to motivate and inspired seminaries and theological institutions to take initiatives to renew, reshape & reform worship practices in Islamic context and enlighten, encourage & empower Christian music makers & Church leaders across the Pakistan in the use of culturally relevant music and creative arts to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ and to strengthen the local church in evangelism, discipleship and worship.
